What's Eating Katie: Freshman Year
What's Eating Katie: Freshman Year is a musical about a college freshman whose eating disorder is depicted as a separate character "ED", offering audiences an intimate glimpse into the inner world of an eating disorder sufferer. It illustrates the seriousness of Katie's personal struggles as she gradually delves deeper into her eating disorder, as well interspersed comedic relief with commercial spoofs on the ridiculousness of weight loss ads! We encourage your university to use the power of musical theater to enlighten, inspire, and transform a campus culture!
During the 2014-2015 school year, EDIN will sponsor the first 5 colleges who commit to producing the musical: "What's Eating Katie: Freshman Year." We will provide your university with the script and the music. Contact drdinazeck@gmail.com and bring this unique show to YOUR college!

The show holds up a mirror to our society's irrational, unhealthy thoughts and attitudes of which we are all victims and perpetrators...it did a great job portraying the the varying degrees of perpetuating these attitudes through the different characters, and despite the variation they still all fell somewhere on the spectrum. There is a common thread and we all play a part. Bravo! |
