Mission & purpose

Our mission is to prevent the major losses of eating disorders through outreach, awareness, professional development, and body positivity.

EDIN's purpose is to:

Provide eating disorders education and assistance by speaking in schools, reaching out to community organizations, talking to parents, and facilitating professional development opportunities for treatment professionals.

Increase public awareness of the biological, psychological, cultural and familial influences which contribute to the development of eating disorders.

Promote early intervention by reaching out to those already suffering from an eating disorder so they can find the therapeutic care they need.

EDIN strives to serve as local resource to those wanting to learn more about eating disorders, those seeking help, and those providing care and treatment in the Atlanta area and across the Southeast.
